This clumping grass has beautiful, amethyst-pink flowers that open up fluffy plumes. Blooms carry well into fall. Works great grown singly, or in groups. A small semi-evergreen cool-season grass from S. Africa that has blue-green foliage and forms a 1 foot tall clump. In the fall the foliage turns purplish-red. The showy pink flowers bloom a foot above the foliage in the spring and summer and spent flowers are still attractive into winter. Best in full sun with regular water but tolerates considerable dryness. One of the showiest of the small flowering grasses.
