Soft powdery blue sea urchins on land. Festuca Elijah’s Blue has excellent color retention all season with stiffer extra fine foliage, and pronounced seed fronds. One of the best blue fescues. Attractive, feathery tan seed heads complement the blue foliage and resemble wheat. Domed-shaped habit lends itself to a stunning accent plant or a great edger. These compact tufts of 8-inch-long powder-blue leaves are well suited for edging and naturalizing in the rock garden.
Care: Grow in full sun and poor to moderately fertile soil. Divide every few years to maintain vigor and color.
