Senecio crassissimus

Senecio crassissimus, a succulent with vertical ranks of bluish grey laterally positioned purple rimmed flattened fleshy leaves. Thick swollen erect stems produce yellow daisy like flowers at the tips in mid-summer to fall. Florishes on neglect. This succulent, from Madagascar, has an upright growth habit and can reach 24in. in height. When grown in strong light the stems are purple and the gray-green leaves will have a purple edge.
